Senior Design Engineer – Mechanical- Hiring

Transportation: Bus facility from Warje to Khed Shivapur
Experience: 4 to 4.5 years maximum
Salary Offered: ₹40,000 per month (Non-negotiable)

Competencies and Skills

• Experience in mechanical design of heavy / high-force equipment or machine-tool type machinery.

• Proficient in SolidWorks (3D modelling, assemblies, drawings); working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.

• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, including circuit understanding and component / pump selection (preferred).

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and learning-oriented mindset.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently on assigned systems or sub-systems while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Overview

The Senior Design Engineer leads the complete mechanical design and development of friction welding machines and high-force SPM systems using SolidWorks. The role ensures designs meet customer specifications, quality standards, cost targets, and manufacturability requirements.

It involves strong technical expertise in engineering analysis, component selection, and design validation. The position requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production and on-time project delivery.

Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior engineers with the guidance of the Design Engineering Manager while promoting innovation and accountability.

Duties and Responsibilities- Senior Design Engineer – solidwork

1. Mechanical Design & Development

• Prepare complete mechanical designs and detailed drawings using SolidWorks and other engineering tools, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and performance reliability for friction welding and automation systems.

2. Engineering Documentation

• Develop detailed part drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and material specifications required for project execution.

• 3. Customer Specification Compliance

  • Carefully review and strictly follow customer technical specifications during the design and manufacturing stages of machines, tooling, and automation systems.

  4. High-Force Machine Design Expertise

  • Design and specify components suitable for high-force applications, including clamping systems, spindles, handling systems, and structural elements

• 5. Manufacturing Coordination

  • Maintain strong understanding of machine processes, workflow, assembly practices, cycle time, and quality expectations to ensure smooth production and timely delivery.

  6. Project Leadership Support

  • Take ownership of assigned projects, guide design activities, and support cross-functional teams to achieve on-time completion and cost efficiency.

  7. Mentorship & Team Development

  • Train junior engineers with the aid and advice of the Design Engineering Manager during project execution.

• 8. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, design optimization, and performance enhancement of machines.

  9. Installation & Technical Support

  • Provide support during fabrication, assembly, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting when required.
