Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for efficient shop floor management and smooth execution of daily production activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation, conveyors, and special purpose machines (SPMs), along with strong leadership and technical skills to manage a team of technicians and operators effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for shop floor management and day-to-day production operations.

• Plan and allocate manpower efficiently across production shifts.

• Train new operators and maintain an appropriate ratio of trained to untrained employees.

• Ensure safe working practices as per company standards and regulatory requirements.

• Motivate and lead the production team to achieve high performance levels.

• Monitor production output, minimize downtime, and ensure quality and quantity targets are met.

• Conduct regular checks on machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow.

• Troubleshoot machine and process-related issues with minimal disruption to operations.

• Maintain accurate documentation and production records for compliance and reporting.

• Coordinate with maintenance and quality departments to ensure timely support.

• Manage repairs or replacement of faulty production equipment.

• Ensure all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings (2D & 3D) and pneumatic circuit diagrams.

• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes including material layout, cutting, fitting, welding, marking, drilling, tapping, finishing, painting, sub-assembly, and final assembly of equipment.

• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to improve process reliability.

• Support 5S implementation and other lean manufacturing practices.

• Handle project-related documentation and ensure deadlines are met under high workload conditions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/BE in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering field.

• Experience in automation, conveyors, or SPM industry preferred.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CAD software.

• Excellent communication and time management skills.

• Working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety practices.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

• Good understanding of production flow, process optimization, and quality systems.

• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
