We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to oversee the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in our facility.
The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of all electrical components, prevent equipment failures, and minimize downtime by performing routine maintenance and implementing effective repair strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance on motors, transformers, circuit breakers, control panels, and other electrical components.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to diagnose issues.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering teams to optimize system performance.
- Install new electrical components and upgrade existing systems when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repair logs, and equipment performance.
- Train and guide junior technicians on maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently while adhering to workplace safety standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within [Industry, e.g., manufacturing, utilities, construction, etc.].
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation, and PLCs (preferred).
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations such as NFPA, OSHA, and IEC standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance situations.
