Design Engineer – Automation

Education – BE / ME (Mechanical, Production), Diploma in Mechanical and Production can also be opted with experience.
Experience – 5 to 8 years in relevant field  Design Engineer – Automation

Location – Khed Shivapur

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize material handling solutions, including grippers and special-purpose machines (SPMs).

• Design material handling equipment using 3D design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and 2D software (e.g., AutoCAD).

• Create detailed part drawings with dimensional and geometrical tolerances, surface finish, and heat treatment specifications.

• Develop 2D layouts and simulations for proposed material handling systems.

• Perform calculations using Strength of Materials principles and relevant engineering software.

• Select appropriate bought-out and pneumatic components (e.g., from Festo, SMC).

• Generate accurate Bills of Material (BOM), including item numbers and quantities.

• Enter design data into ERP systems.

• Participate in customer meetings, document Minutes of Meeting (MOM), and implement customer feedback.

• Support the assembly team as required during manufacturing and integration phases.

Key Skills & Qualifications – Design Engineer – Automation 

• Proficiency in 3D design tools and AutoCAD.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and conceptual thinking abilities.

• Solid computer and mathematical proficiency.

Experience in industry-specific product design, material handling systems, and SPMs.

Ability to adapt to change and a flexible approach to work.

Strong team player with a self-motivated and proactive mindset
