Required Skills & Competencies- Hiring

Experience in mechanical design of heavy / high-force equipment or machine tools.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings).
Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, circuit understanding, and component selection (preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong knowledge of SolidWorks to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine tool design or heavy machinery and a willingness to learn and grow in a professional manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing & Assembly Coordination

Work closely with manufacturing, machining, and assembly teams to understand fabrication processes and design-for-manufacturing practices.
Assist in resolving shopfloor or assembly-related design queries.
Learn manufacturing workflows, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

2. Design & Engineering Support

Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks.
Support design improvements and engineering documentation.
Ensure design accuracy and adherence to engineering standards.

3. Documentation, ISO & Compliance Support

Assist in preparing and maintaining engineering documentation as per ISO standards.
Follow established quality, safety, ergonomic, and compliance guidelines (ISO / CE).
Maintain proper filing and control of drawings in the PDM system and document records.

4. Continuous Improvement & Skill Development

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to design quality and efficiency.
Improve proficiency in SolidWorks and engineering tools through training and mentoring.
Stay updated with industry practices and emerging machine design tools.

5. Supplier & Customer Coordination (Exposure Level)

Support senior engineers during supplier or customer visits.
Assist in addressing technical queries under supervision.

6. General Responsibilities

Perform assigned tasks as directed by the reporting engineer or manager.
Demonstrate a proactive learning attitude and teamwork.
Follow company safety practices and professional standards.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
SolidWorks Certification is mandatory.
1–2 years of experience in machine tool or heavy equipment design.
Candidate must be comfortable working at Khed Shivapur, Pune.
