Education – B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Design Manager to lead our Design Department.
The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in detailed design of machinery, heavy
fabricated equipment, and structures. They should have a strong command of engineering
drawings, manufacturing and fabrication processes, quality control, reverse
engineering, structural analysis, and must be highly proficient in AutoCAD and 3D
modelling software.
This role requires active interfacing with foreign technology partners, clients, and internal
departments including Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality Control. The candidate
will also be responsible for leading Research & Development and New Product
Development initiatives of the company.
Key Responsibilities
• Leadership & Management
o Manage the Design Department operations end-to-end, ensuring quality, timelines,
and project objectives are met.
o Develop and mentor a high-performing design team.
o Lead departmental planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and performance
evaluation.
• Detailed Engineering & Design- Senior Design Engineer
o Oversee preparation, review, and approval of detailed engineering
drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
o Ensure compliance with technical specifications, codes, and standards.
o Lead the reverse engineering of components, assemblies, and machinery for redesign
or optimization.
• Technical Expertise
o Apply practical knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes, structural
analysis, hydraulics, electrical and electronic control panels.
o Provide hands-on expertise in AutoCAD and advanced 3D modelling
software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent).
o Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance.
• Cross-Functional Coordination
o Interface with foreign technology partners for technology transfer, design validation,
and joint development projects.
o Collaborate closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality Control teams to
resolve design and production issues.
o Support business development and client teams by providing technical inputs during
project proposals and presentations.

• Innovation & Development
o Lead Research & Development (R&D) initiatives to improve existing products and
develop new product lines.
o Drive New Product Development (NPD) from concept to commercialization.
o Implement best practices and new design methodologies to enhance efficiency and
innovation.
Key Requirements
• Educational Qualification:
o B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience:
o Minimum 15 years of experience in detailed design of machinery, equipment, heavy
fabrication, and industrial structures.
• Technical Skills:
o Expertise in AutoCAD and 3D Modelling Software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or
equivalent).
o Strong practical knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
o Hands-on experience with reverse engineering, structural analysis of steel
structures, hydraulic systems, electrical and electronic control panels.
o Understanding of quality control standards and procedures.
• Managerial Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
o Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-functional interfacing.
o Project management skills including planning, monitoring, and risk mitigation.
