Job Title: Senior Engineer – Quality Assurance (QA)

Qualification- B.E. Mechanical Engineering

Experience- 7 to 10 Years of experience in Quality Assurance within the manufacturing, automotive, or precision machining industry.

Salary- ₹35,000 to ₹50,000 Gross per Month
(Depends on experience, technical competency, and interview performance)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – QA to manage quality assurance activities, customer quality requirements, process capability studies, PPAP documentation, CMM programming, and quality system compliance. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality, process improvements, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Inspection

  • Perform part inspection and verification as per engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • Review dimensional reports and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct primary analysis of customer complaints and monitor segregation status.
  • Verify engineering drawings and issue approved documents to production departments.

PPAP & Quality Documentation- Senior QA Engineer Job

  • Prepare, review, and maintain PPAP documentation.
  • Handle Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and implement changes effectively.
  • Review calibration schedules and ensure compliance of measuring instruments.
  • Maintain quality records and support internal and external audits.

CMM Programming & Measurement

  • Perform CMM inspection and programming during new product development stages.
  • Operate and program Accurate and Zeiss CMM machines.
  • Utilize Contour Measurement Systems, Camera Inspection Systems, and other advanced measuring equipment.
  • Analyze inspection data and prepare quality reports.

Process Improvement & Quality Analysis

  • Conduct SPC studies and analyze process capabilities.
  • Apply MSA, 7 QC Tools, CAPA, and 8D methodologies for problem-solving.
  • Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Gauge & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate gauge procurement and gauge validation activities.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of gauges and measuring instruments.
  • Handle vendor quality issues and support supplier development activities.

Team & Customer Management

  • Manage and guide quality inspectors and QA team members.
  • Coordinate with customers regarding quality concerns and corrective actions.
  • Prepare quality reports and present performance metrics to management.

Quality Systems Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Support customer audits, certification audits, and internal quality audits.
  • Maintain quality standards across manufacturing processes.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and 7 QC Tools.
  • Expertise in CAPA and 8D Problem Solving.
  • Hands-on experience with Accurate and Zeiss CMM Programming.
  • Knowledge of Contour Measurement and Camera Inspection Systems.
  • Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and inspection methods.
  • Experience in calibration systems and gauge management.
  • Vendor quality management experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and manpower handling abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality reporting and data analysis.
