Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) with 15+ years of relevant experience, OR
• B.E. Mechanical Engineering with 10–15 years of relevant experience

Experience

• Minimum 10–20 years of experience in CNC/VMC machining operations.
• Proven experience as Production Head in a machining/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in managing CNC, VMC, Sliding Head Machines, and large production teams.

Salary

₹60,000 – ₹75,000 Gross per Month
(Depends on experience, interview performance, and technical competency)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Head to lead and manage our CNC/VMC machining operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, manufacturing operations, machine utilization, manpower management, quality compliance, and achieving production targets while ensuring cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Lead and oversee daily production activities of CNC, VMC, and Sliding Head machining operations.
• Ensure timely achievement of production targets with optimum machine utilization.
• Monitor production schedules and coordinate with planning, quality, and maintenance departments.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce cycle time.

Production Planning & Control

• Prepare and execute production plans based on customer requirements.
• Monitor work orders, production output, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machines, and resources.

Team Leadership

• Manage and supervise a team of approximately 80 employees.
• Develop team capabilities through training, mentoring, and performance management.
• Maintain discipline, motivation, and a positive work culture on the shop floor.

Operations & Maintenance

• Ensure smooth operation of approximately 35 CNC, VMC, and Sliding Head machines.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Minimize machine downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Quality & Process Improvement

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
• Monitor rejection rates and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Cost & Budget Management

• Control manufacturing costs and optimize resource utilization.
• Monitor production budgets and operational expenses.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to industry standards.
